RSUE is a co-organizer of the conference «Global and regional dimensions of international economic relations»
On May 14, the grand opening of the Anniversary 25th Annual Student Conference "Global and Regional Dimension of International Economic Relations" was organized by the Department of International Economic Relations of D.A. Tsenov Academy of Economics (Svishtov, Bulgaria) together with the Department of World Economy of Rostov State University of Economics (Rostov-on-Don, Russia), the Department of International Economic Relations of University of Economics - Varna (Varna, Bulgaria) and the Department of Economics of Angel Kanchev University of Ruse (Ruse, Bulgaria).
In 2021, the conference celebrates its 25th anniversary and brought together participants from 10 universities, including 4 Bulgarian and 6 universities from Russia, Latvia, Georgia and Vietnam. A total of 52 applications were submitted for participation. Students, undergraduates and postgraduates of Rostov State University of Economics submitted 25 scientific reports to the conference.
Scholars from RSUE’s Department of World Economy were moderators of the sections and reviewers of students’ articles. Scientific reports were introduced online at the conference sections. Their topics were related to the challenges and defining the opportunities for the development of global and regional socio-economic systems in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, critical rethinking and the formation of a new architecture of the global economy that meets the modern realities of international cooperation, transformations in the monetary and financial sphere and monetary relations, in the transport and infrastructure support of the regional and national economy, in the innovation sphere of new sources of non-inflationary growth and balanced macro-regional development, as well as ensuring the key aspects of the national economic interests of countries.
By results of the conference, proceedings will be published and the conference participants will be awarded certificates of participation.
In the summary of the conference, the decision to continue international scientific and educational format of student interaction between RSUE and the partner universities was unanimously taken.
