Mayor of Victoria, the capital of the Republic of Seychelles, visited RSUE

On the eve of March 8 - International Women's Day - the mayor of Victoria, the capital of the Republic of Seychelles, Charlie Beryl Lydia visited RSUE.
RSUE’s Rector Elena Makarenko and Mayor of Victoria Charlie Beryl Lydia held a working meeting, discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of educational, youth, sports and cultural cooperation, exchanged their experience and innovative approaches in the field of management and mentoring. The two successful women leaders also congratulated each other on International Women’s Day and confirmed their readiness and desire to strengthen friendly ties between our countries and develop contacts between the youth of Russia and Seychelles. During a short tour of the university, Charlie Beryl Lydia talked with Russian and foreign students of RSUE, professors, and university staff and noted their openness and friendliness, as well as excellent conditions and infrastructure opportunities that the university provides for study, creativity and recreation to all members of a large RSUE’s family.
The visit of the Seychelles delegation to Rostov-on-Don was organized by the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Seychelles in Moscow, Moscow region and Rostov region with the participation of the Administration of the city of Rostov-on-Don. In August 2021, an agreement was signed to establish sister city relations between the cities of Rostov-on-Don (Russian Federation) and Victoria (Republic of Seychelles), which gave an additional impetus to the development of cooperation both between the capitals of the Don Territory and Seychelles, as well as bilateral relations between Russia and Seychelles. An expanded delegation from the Seychelles these days took an active part in the World Youth Festival at the Sirius Federal Center.
