Heading to Montenegro!

Dear students!

Students' Association of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region Economic Universities (ASECU Youth) has announced the Call for Papers for the 3rd International Summer Economic School and the 2nd International Contest for the Best Paper in Economic field. Both events will be held in Montenegro in July 2013.

Prof. Adam Albekov is elected as the new Rector of RSUE

On January 10th, 2013 Rostov State University of Economics had the elections of the new Rector. This position was assigned to Prof. Adam Albekov, who for many years was the Senior Vice-Rector of our university.

The Rector was elected by Electoral College, comprising professors and representatives of other staff. In addition to Prof. Adam Kuznetsov, the candidates were Prof. Vladimir Dzhukha, Dean of the Faculty of National and International Economy, and Prof. Dmitry Kostoglodov, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Marketing.The Rector’s four-year term begins on the retirement of Prof. Nikolay Kuznetsov, who has been Rector since 2009.

On January 22, 2013 Prof. Albekov was officially confirmated to the post of Rector by the Decree of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and assumed the Office on January 24, 2013.

Professor Nikolay Dimitriadi earns “Best Paper Award” from Stockholm School of Economics

 

Professor Nikolay Dimitriadi with his U.S. and Turkey co-authors earns “Best Paper Award” from Stockholm School of Economics

Nikolay Dimitriadi, Professor of the Department of Management of Rostov State University of Economics, with his co-authors Robert Engle, Professor of Quinnipiac University, USA, and Ekrem Tatoglu, Professor of Bahcesehir University, Turkey, received the top award for their paper "Intent to Become an Expatriate: An Application of Ajzen's Theory of Planned Behavior and the Role of Gender in the United States, Russia and Turkey."

 
Online lecture on Corruption with Södertörn University

On November 26, final-year students of the Financial Faculty had a unique opportunity to exploit a new form of interactive and group education. Together with the students of Södertörn University - Sweden (with whom RSUE has recently signed an Academic Cooperation Agreement) our students had an online lecture on “Corruption”, delivered by the Professor of Södertörn University.

Meeting of the Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway of Canada and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Russia with RSUE students

On the 8th of June RSUE’s students welcomed the Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway of Canada, the Honorable Ed Fast, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Russia, the Honorable John C. Sloan.

The Honorable Ed Fast delivered a lecture, dedicated to the trade relations between Canada and its partner countries, including Russia.
